Fort Bonifacio Tunnel

The 1910 Fort Bonifacio War Memorial Tunnel is a tunnel in Bonifacio Global City, a district of Metro Manila, Philippines. It is considered to be a historical site by the Bases Conversion Development Authority. It is situated at the property of former military base Fort Bonifacio and now called Bonifacio Global City. It has since become hidden underneath the streets that traverse C-5 and Kalayaan Avenue.
== History ==

The tunnel was initially used as a passageway for military supplies and war materials. It is was first constructed around 1936 with
the help of Igorots. It stretches at an average depth of that spans from the Pasig River, to the town now called Pembo and East Rembo in Makati, all the way to the Villamor Air Base in Pasay.
It was heavily used in World War II, serving as an underground arms depository for the United States and Philippines’
Armies. It was eventually over-run by the Imperial Japanese Army.
